What to Expect - Week #19, Season 23

For Week #19 – October 17— of the 2019 FACSAP Summer Harvest, we anticipate the following this Thursday:

HARTLAND NATURAL FARM – Jamie Whitaker

  • Mild Jalapeño Peppers  (8 for large shares and 4 for small shares)

 

 

GUERRA FARM – José Antonio Guerra Martinez

  • Sweet Peppers  [12 for large shares & 6 for small shares)

  • Zucchini

 

 

DOWNTOWN GREENS YOUTH FARM PROGRAM – Jennifer Gron

DTG does not expect a harvest this week but we are trying to pull off a great harvest for next week!  

 

 

Colebrook Garden - Jennifer Gron

Jennifer Gron's Colebrook Garden is offering hand-made goat milk soaps.  The soaps are made in small batches using goat milk, organic coconut and olive oils, and essential oils for a light fragrance.  Proceeds from these soaps go directly to support the goat feed bill for winter, when the pasture doesn't provide enough forage to sustain the small herd of 4 alpine goats.  The soaps are available at $6 each, or $50 for 10.  They are fully cured and ready to use.

You may add your name to the Waiting List, and will be notified when additional Egg Shares become available. 

 

Jen will deliver the eggs fresh each week to the FACSAP Side Share table. Cash payments only. 

NOTE: After October 24, the eggs will be delivered on Monday evenings 5:30-7:00 PM at Liberty Town Arts Workshop courtyard in downtown Fredericksburg, in conjunction with the FACSAP Fall Vegetable Share deliveries.

FACSAP Organic Olive Oil Share Update:  We have sent the FACSAP Olive Oil Share delivery request to Dimitris Therianos at the Therianos Family Organic Farm and await the final details for shipping cost, delivery window, and payment instructions from the farm.
