What to Expect - Week 19, Season 22

For Week #19 of the 2018 FACSAP Harvest, we anticipate the following this Thursday, October 4:

BLENHEIM ORGANIC GARDENS – Lawrence & Becky Latané

  • Sweet Potatoes

  • Eggplant

  • Mustard Greens

GREEN THUMB GROWERS – Tom Miller

  • A variety of fall squash to choose from (each share gets one):

  • Waltham Butternut

  • Seminole

  • Table Queen Acorn

This is the last delivery of the season. I may be able to bring some squash blossoms this week or at the last distribution.

GUERRA FARM – José Antonio Guerra Martinez

  • Tomatoes

  • Sweet Peppers

HARTLAND NATURAL FARM – Jamie Whitaker

  • Late Summer Vegetable Share: an assortment of green beans, yellow wax beans, lima beans, okra, eggplant, squash, and more!

  • Fall Greens Share Assortment: predominantly beautiful Bok Choi but also some shares of kale and mustard greens (you select)

  • Lettuce

GOLDEN ACRES ORCHARD – John Thomson

  • Apple Juice in glass gallon jugs (2 gallons for the Large Shares and 1 gallon for the Small Shares)

ROCK RUN CREEK FARM – Francis Ngoh

  • Shiitake Mushrooms

Rock Run Creek Farm will also have extra Shiitake Mushrooms for sale to members directly for pick-up this Thursday.

  • GLUTEN-FREE BREAD SHARE #2 NOW AVAILABLE from KICKSHAW’S KITCHEN – Kathy Craddock.

Delivered each week through October 25 in conjunction with the harvest pick-up. Sign up forms available at the «Side Share» table near the check-in book.

  • CARDINAL APIARIES – Pete Burt

Honey Shares remain available for anyone wishing to receive additional honey each month during the remaining FACSAP harvest season. Sign up forms available at the «Side Share» table near the check-in book. Final delivery is October 25.
