For Week #20 – October 24, the final harvest delivery for the 2019 FACSAP Summer Shares, we anticipate the following this Thursday:

Introducing our newest grower, a FACSAP member-turned-grower, Mrs. Christien Conniff, growing in Stafford County, with her harvest debut!

Preparing for the past couple of years, Christien this season has produced her first harvest in the newly-established 80’ x 80’ garden that is in the heart of the northern Fredericksburg area.  She offers several unique varieties of tomatoes and peppers, including specialty types of Yellow Cherry and tiny red Mexican Midget tomatoes. (see attached photo), which will be included in this week’s Summer Harvest finalé!

You are giving me the opportunity to be a farmer, which is a lifelong dream...And I look forward to growing in the future Spring and Summer shares...

For Week #19 – October 17— of the 2019 FACSAP Summer Harvest, we anticipate the following this Thursday:

  • Mustard Greens bunches

  • Salad Mix (already washed and bagged) 😁

HARTLAND NATURAL FARM – Jamie Whitaker

  • Romaine Lettuce

  • Gold Potatoes

  • Mild Jalapeño Peppers  (8 for large shares and 4 for small shares)

GUERRA FARM – José Antonio Guerra Martinez

  • Sweet Peppers  [12 for large shares & 6 for small shares)

  • Zucchini

DOWNTOWN GREENS YOUTH FARM PROGRAM – Jennifer Gron

DTG does not expect a harvest this week but we are trying to pull off a great harvest for next week!

  • Assorted Greens (Romaine Lettuce + Kale or Collard Greens for Large Shares; Romaine Lettuce for Small Shares)

  • Gold Potatoes  

GUERRA FARM – José Antonio Guerra Martinez

  • Swiss Chard

  • Sweet Peppers

  • Zucchini

  • Jalapeño Peppers

DOWNTOWN GREENS YOUTH FARM PROGRAM – Jennifer Gron

  • DTG will try to have peppers (jalapeno, cayenne and banana).  This will be the last harvest from the plants.

  • Redskin Potatoes (may substitute Chinese chestnuts if the harvest runs short )

GUERRA FARM – José Antonio Guerra Martinez

  • Sweet Peppers

  • Zucchini

  • Jalapeño Peppers
